Grantham Swimming Club collected the ‘Top Visiting Club’ accolade at the Boston Open.

Leading the way for the club were Freya Colbert and Thomas Lewis.

Freya enjoyed her most impressive gala of the season, breaking five club records. Her 400m freestyle time is currently the fourth fastest time in her age group in the British rankings.

Meanwhile, Thomas Lewis had an exceptional gala, improving in all his races and setting new two club records. In 200m backstroke, he bettered his own club record and is now just outside the top 50 in the country.

There were some other great swims over the weekend event at The Meres leisure centre, with club records in various age groups tumbling yet again – Molly Colbert and Imogen Raistrick (100m backstroke), Luke Marriott (200m backstroke), Lara Hawkes (400m freestyle), Cameron Chow (200m individual medley), Caleb Mackey and Sophie Culpin (200m freestyle), Billy Reed (100m freestyle).
