Grantham and District Table Tennis League’s top team Cranmer A now have a 20 points lead in Division One, and the Bingham-based team are now unstoppable.

BTA are chasing second spot with Danny Cox and sister Jody both on 70-plus per cent averages. Links Taxis are driving a hard chase, whilst Chandlers A beat Betas 8-2 last week to stay in the second spot race.

In the second division, BTL bounced back after defeat at Newark Wanderers B to hold on to the top spot. The team of Dave Templeton, Alan Bryan and Andy Lambley are enjoying one of their best seasons.

Classics had a good result at Newark Wanderers B, drawing 5-5, with Mark Mapletoft having a great night.

Ancaster C moved up to a top five position with a hard fought 6-4 win over their clubmates Ancaster E, with Ken Mounser winning his three singles yet again. Clive Creasey and David Strawson won the other three.
