Two Cadet players from Cliffedale Chandlers Table Tennis Club travelled to the north-east to compete in the Bishop Auckland Two Star competition.

Alexandra Robinson and Benjamin Rigby took on players mainly from the North East region in a tough day of competition.

Benjamin made two plate quarter-finals whilst Alexandra, who is a pupil at Walton Girls, reached the final of the Cadet girls’ competition.

Unfortunately, she lost to local girl Charlotte Weatherby, although the 3-0 scoreline did not reflect a tough and closely contested final.

Alexandra also made the semi-finals of the under-13 girls’, but lost 3-1 in another close match, and again to Weatherby .
