TABLE TENNIS: Grantham club septet win bulk of county championship silverware

Seven Cadet players from Cliffedale Chandlers Table Tennis Club won the majority of the silverware at the Lincolnshire Closed U11-U15 Championships in Gainsborough.

The Grantham septet returned home with nine of the 14 trophies on offer, with one player winning three and another two.

In the under-11 girls, Emily Winfield finished runner-up, whilst in the under-13s, Alexandra Robinson won with Sarah Henderson in second place. Alexandra also came second in the Cadet Girls category.

Josh Kettle won the under-11 boys, with Flynn Connolly in second. Josh also claimed second place in the under-13 boys. Benjamin Rigby was the winner of the Cadet Boys, with Josh again taking the runners-up spot.

On hand to help with their success were club coaches Russell Winfield, Clive Henderson and Alex Mercer, and guest coach Adam Curran.
