A trio of players from Grantham has been named in the England team to compete at the World Schools’ Table Tennis Championships in Israel next year.

In the girls’ competitions, England will be represented by Grantham College players Emily Bolton, Beth Cook and Grace Potter – plus a nationally-drawn team of Kate Cheer, Tin-Tin Ho, Letitia McMullan and Denise Payet.

All the England players will also compete in individual events with a 15-strong squad making the trip to Eilat.

The tournament takes place from April 2-8 and the draw will be in January. Teams competing are likely to include table tennis powers China, Chinese Taipei and Germany, plus the likes of France, Ireland, Croatia, Greece and the host nation.
