TABLE TENNIS: Grantham league leaders remain at top of tables

Table Tennis news.
Table Tennis news.

With a lot of teams having a no-match week, not a lot has changed in the Grantham and District Table Tennis League.

In Division One, top-of-the-table Cranmer A won 7-3 to keep their huge lead. Mid-table saw BTA draw 5-5 with Newark Wanderers A, and Arbons A also got a useful draw against Chandlers C.

BTL kept the top spot in Division Two, defeating DVS Crowns 7-3, with Alan Bryan and Dave Templeton winning five of the seven.

Ancaster C won 7-3 against Chandlers E but the young Chandlers side showed some real skills. Divya Prabhu was tactically astute and Frazer Winfield’s forehand and backhand drives were superb at times.
