Four players from Cliffedale Chandlers Table Tennis Club competed in the Regional Under-11/14 qualifying event at Draycott TTC, Derby, last Saturday.

The quartet played in a round robin style event and faced tough opposition.

Alexandra Robinson qualified in the under-13 girls category, whilst Josh Kettle and Frazer Winfield did the same in the under-12 boys group. Also competing was Flynn Connolly.

The three qualifiers will now go on to play in the National Finals to be held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield, at the beginning of June.

Elsewhere, Chandlers junior Matt Leete competed at the Blackpool Grand Prix where he fought his way through a tough group and knockout stages to reach the final of the Men’s Band 3 in which he lost 3-2 to Joe Killoran.
