Grantham Tennis Club men’s second team played against Mansfield in miserable weather on Sunday.

The team was captained by Ed Milner and consisted of Mark Harris, Tom White, Paul White, Joe Patton and Rob Start. Grantham triumphed convincingly 72-36 to record three wins out of three which puts them top of the table.

The men’s second veteran team played at home in very horrible conditions against Scotter. The Grantham side, comprising Mike Roys, Mark Farmer, Peter Elphick and Paul Kennedy, performed well in the wind and rain and managed to claim a very good 6-2 victory.

Grantham mini Green team travelled away to play Horncastle B. Alex Harris and Harry Chambers triumphed 3-0 and then carried on their winning ways, taking on Boston D team who they defeated 2-1, winning both the singles and then losing out narrowly on the doubles.
