Grantham Tennis Club’s third indoor team travelled to Nottingham yet again to play another match in the indoor league.

The Grantham side consisted of Robert Isaac, Mike Roys, Jo Jones and Pam Aust, who took on a very strong Caunton first team.

Grantham played some very good tennis but the Caunton side were too strong and triumphed 24-35 overall. It was quite a close battle but Grantham will be hoping to do much better in their next match in a few weeks’ time.

Meanwhile, the ladies’ team captained by Jo Carstairs played their third Winter League match away at a windy, cold Caunton.

It was another closely fought match which the Grantham side managed to win 58-50. Jo’s team also comprised Liz Stokes, Katy Dines, Claire Marris, Laura Dixon and Roz Elphick.
