TENNIS: Grantham mixed team win away

Grantham Tennis Club’s fourth mixed team enjoyed a good win at Farnsfield on Sunday, triumphing 65 games to 43.

The team comprised Colin Walton and Lis Isles, Jarek Mechlinski (making his debut for Grantham) and Sue Cox, and David Todd and Lorraine Walton.

The previous weekend saw a good set of games from the Grantham fifth men’s winter team, playing away against David Lloyd West Bridgford B.

Players were Chris Pye-Smith and Peter Moseley, Johnny Ng and Adam Abi Haidar, and Harry Larkin and David Hall. Overall score was 63-45.
