TENNIS: Wins all round for Grantham club members

Grantham Tennis Club players travelled to Cambridge to play against a strong David Lloyd side in the Senior and Junior Mixed Inter-club Championships.

Grantham’s team consisted of pairings Paul White and Jane Hunter, and James Drennan and Lianne Tapson.

And the visitors proved too strong for the home side, with Grantham coming away with an 8-2 victory which put them through to the quarter-finals.

Lincolnshire Ladies played at home against a strong Hampshire team at the weekend with a side consisting of Sarah Patton, Lianne Tapson, Jane Hunter and Sam Parker, who comfortably won 4-1.

Grantham mixed first team played away at Retford at the weekend.

Grantham consisted of Richard Cragg, Michael Cragg, Karl Meuwissen, Sam Parker, Megan Jones and Liz Stokes, and came away with a very convincing victory.
