YOUTH FOOTBALL: Colsterworth Colts end season on a high

Under-10 Cup Final

Ropsley 0

Colsterworth Colts 2

Colsterworth Colts under-10s ended their season on a high, winning their cup final against Ropsley with goals from Riley Wright and Archie Tagg, but the whole team played their part from round one onwards.

Colts’ cup run could not have had a harder start when two of the best footballing under-10 teams, Colsterworth and Barrowby, drew each other in the first round, Colts coming out the better of a great game 2-1.

In the quarter-final, Colts then played Navenby and triumphed 4-0, which led on to a semi-final with AFC Brazil from Newark. In an open game, Colts won 4-1 to book their place in the final – and the rest is history.
