With the Grantham Youth League under-7 season nearing its conclusion, the two-week Knockout Cup and Challenge Shield competition has taken place.

This event saw nine teams competing and after the first week the teams were seeded into two groups, those playing for the Cup and those playing for the Shield.

In the second week, the four teams playing for the cup were AFC Brazil Yellow, AFC Brazil Blue, Barrowby FC and Ropsley Colts.

After the first games, two teams emerged to play in the cup final – Barrowby and Ropsley Colts.

The game was evenly matched and tense throughout, and all of the players played their hearts out on both sides, with the final score 2-1 to Ropsley.
