Keen cyclist Trevor Coy has been passionate about the sport since his school days.
Trevor, 72, was born in Grantham and has lived in the town all his life, currently residing in Harrowby Road.
He attended Little Gonerby School, the National School and Springfield School.
Trevor helped run the family fruit and veg shop, Willoughbys, which started out in Vine Street and later moved to High Street.
A talented drummer, he played with a number of local bands, including The Pontiacs.
He began cycling with the Kesteven Aces and enjoyed much success, specialising in time trials and grass track.
Trevor took a break from cycling but returned to the sport at the age of 40 and in 2003 he came ninth in the World Masters over 60s event at the Manchester Velodrome.
He still enjoys getting out on his bike and thinks nothing of cycling up to 50 miles.
