Firefighters from Lincolnshire are raising money for charity by joining Santa on his visits this December.

They will be collecting for the Fire Fighters Charity, which provides support and therapy to injured firefighters and their families.

Lincolnshire’s deputy service champion for the charity Mark Baxter said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come out and meet their local firefighters, as well as to get into the festive spirit.

“Last year, thanks to your support, we raised a substantial amount for the Fire Fighters Charity, which offers immense support.

“This year we’d like to raise even more for such a worthwhile cause.”

Santa will be visiting the following areas during the given dates in December between 6.30pm and 8pm:

l Monday - Gonerby Hill Foot and Great Gonerby.

l Tuesday - Earlesfield.

l Wednesday - Princess Drive and Queensway area.

l Thursday - Barrowby Gate.

l Friday, December 14 - Springfield Road and Denton Avenue.

During the day on Saturday, firefighters will join Santa in Welby Street, Grantham, to encourage further donations.
