Cast and crew are wanted for classic comedy Hi-de-Hi

Have your say

CLASSIC comedy Hi-de-Hi is next on the agenda for the Grantham Dramatic Society - and the amateur theatre group wants to add to its cast.

Anyone interested in getting involved with the production, be it on stage or behind the scenes, is encouraged to pop along to an open night on Monday.

Society chairman Vicky Williamson said: “This show has a cast of 17 and promises to be great fun. That includes some small roles that might be ideal if you’d like to build your confidence.

“We are casting for this play through open readings, which is much more relaxed and less stressful than a formal audition.”

Meanwhile, backstage opportunities include set building, costumes and props.

The society is also keen to hear from graphic designers and volunteers to help promote the production.

The open night on Monday begins at 7.30pm at Unit 19, The Old Malthouse, Springfield Road. Refreshments will be provided.

Further open readings will take place on Thursday, January 13, and Thursday, January 20.
