New to the Reel from Friday is Far from the Madding Crowd (12A), starring Carey Mulligan.

The film is based on the novel by 19th century writer Thomas Hardy. Mulligan plays headstrong Bathsheba Everdene who attracts three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak, a sheep farmer; Frank Troy, a reckless Sergeant; and William Boldwood, a prosperous and mature bachelor.

Also showing over the next week is The Avengers: Age of Ultron (12A). Showing over the weekend and on Bank Holiday Monday are Home (U) and Cinderella (U).

The next Live screening is the Royal Ballet’s La Fillemal Gardee (12A) on Tuesday at 7.15pm.
