The inaugral production of Nigel Havers Theatre Company is at the Theatre Royal from Tuesday, April 19, to Saturday, April 23.
Private Lives brings together Elyot and Amanda, who were once married.
They find themselves in adjoining rooms in the same hotel on the French coast, both on honeymoon with their new partners.
But their initial horror quickly evaporates and soon they are sharing cocktails and a romantic serenade.
This production stars Olivier Award-winning Patricia Hodge as Amanda’and Nigel Havers as Elyot, the role taken by Noël Coward himself in the original production in 1930.
It is the first time Nigel Havers has appeared in a Coward play on stage. However, he has a host of theatre, film and television credits, including Empire Of The Sun, Chariots Of Fire, Coronation Street and Downtown Abbey.
Co-star Patricia Hodge's television credits include A Very English Scandal, Miranda, and Downton Abbey.
The cast is completed by Dugald Bruce-Lockhart (Victor) Natalie Walter (Sibyl) and Aïcha Kossoko (Louise).
