Guided tours of City Of Caves at Nottingham launched during summer holiday
Guided tour of The City Of Caves, Nottingham, are back for the summer holidays.
Head into the winding passageways of an underground network and discover the lives of the people who found themselves living and working there.
It is a chance to learn about the ingenious uses for these spaces, including as second world war air raid shelters and a medieval tannery.
These ancient, hand-carved caves stay a cool 14C, regardless of the temperature outside.
The attraction’s ever-popular tours with their team of expert guides return over the summer holidays after taking a break during the pandemic.
Due to the confined nature of the Caves and the popularity of these tours, group sizes are limited.
Tours will take place daily until September 4, and last 45 minutes to an hour.
