Choir will perform recital at Grantham church this weekend

The boys and girls of St Wulfram’s Church Choir will be performing a retital at the church tomorrow (Saturday), starting at 11.30am.

The recital will feature a range of choral music sung by the boys’ and girls’ choirs combined, vocal solos and duets, and instrumental items. This will include organ solos from some of the many choristers learning the organ at St Wulfram’s.

The choristers are seeking to raise funds towards their residency singing for a week at York Minster in the summer of 2019. Their hope is to be able to subsidise the costs of the residency so it is affordable and accessible to all choir families.

Admission to the recital is free, but there will be a retiring collection towards the cause.

The church coffee shop will be open, serving homemade cakes.

St Wulfram’s Church master of music Dr Tim Williams said: “I am very proud of the standard of our choristers, and of their incredible commitment to the choir. It will be a lovely morning at St Wulfram’s, and we hope that many people will come and support these gifted young people.”
