Grantham Kesteven Rotary Club’s annual Duck Race, which has been running for ten years, was held on Easter Saturday on the River Witham in Wyndham Park.

With plenty of helpers from the Rotary Club, the event was well supported by the people of Grantham who turned out in force to watch the fun.

Rotarian John Asher, who has organised every Duck Race, said: “It was an extremely good community event. The weather turned at the last minute with the sun coming out just as the ducks went into the water.”

The sum of £600 was raised for charity and the Rotary Club is also grateful for the support given by the Grantham and District Scouts who sold tickets.

The winners were: 1st Mrs A J Brown, ticket number 651; 2nd Amos Simpson, ticket number 343; 3rd Jasmine Goodwin, ticket number 996.
