There’s plenty going on this half-term to keep the kids entertained – including some fun-packed workshops and events at Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham.

On Monday, you can watch the new Minions film (2pm to 3.30pm). Join Minions, Stuart, Kevin and Bob who are recruited by Scarlett Overkill, a super-villain who, alongside her inventor husband Herb, hatches a plot to take over the world…

Why not go along to the Minions craft workshop before the film, taking place any time from 10.30am to 1.30pm? It’s free if you buy a ticket to see the film, or £2 if you just fancy popping along for the crafts.

Will you go shopping in New York or to see the cowboys in Texas? You could go to Disney Land in Florida or visit the Grand Canyon. What will your drama be about?

N.I.T.S. is running dance, singing and drama workshops at the Guildhall on Tuesday and Wednesday, which lead to performance. They are suitable for beginners and for experienced performers.

Your child will need a packed lunch. Drinks and confectionery all on sale at the theatre.

The performance is on Wednesday, February 17, at 3pm. Ages six to 16 years old. Price is £30, (10am to 3.30pm).

Librarian Lil has worked in the library for 45 years. She looks old, tired and bored with her life… but you can’t judge a book by its cover. For when a customer brings a book to be date stamped, the pages start to rustle and Lil is sucked into a whirlwind of words where tales become reality and everyday sees a new adventure.

Join Lil on Wednesday as she is transported into other worlds, meeting fairy-tale characters, meanies and villains and even a dinosaur or two.

Rhubarb Theatre has been creating imaginative original family theatre for over a decade. The Amazing Adventures of Librarian Lil is a show for five years plus.

Tickets are £6 each (£5 concessions)and £20 for a family of four (2pm to 4pm).
