Grantham rock ‘n’ roll legend Trevor Leeson is bringing his Rock ‘n’ Roll with Laughter show to the town to raise money for the ChristChurch Community Project.

The former Merseybeats member will perform his show at Belton Park Golf Club on Thursday, October 22.

Tickets cost £12 and are available from Graves Jewellers at 17 Westgate (Tel: 01476 564634) or Denhys Lambley on 01476 401185.

Trevor started his career in Grantham in 1958 as a member of the skiffle group called The Rebels. He later toured France with The Pontiacs and by 1969 he was playing bass guitar in a Grantham group called Gingerbread which regularly featured on Radio 1.

Following appearances alongside The Merseybeats on the island of Jersey, Trevor was invited to join them as their bass player. After a couple of years with the group, in 1974 Trevor decided to go solo and has since worked with the lives of The Electric Light Orchestra and Ken Dodd and can now look back on a successful musical career spanning more than 50 years.
