Barrowby performers to give free concert at church for new electric piano

A group of singers and instrumentalists will perform a free concert to support Barrowby church.

The concert will be held at All Saints Church in Church Street and is set to feature a wide range of performers and an even wider range of music.

It will take place on Saturday September 2 at 7.30pm.

Group leader Dave Parker said “We are a bunch of twenty or so musical friends who meet informally twice a month at the village pub to play and sing together.

“We cover many different styles and genres but all in the live and acoustic tradition - no backing tracks, and no electronic effects.

“For this concert we are selecting our favourite solo and ensemble pieces to bring joy and delight to anyone who cares to come along.

“It’s a very informal, free event, with the aim of raising donations to help with the cost of a recently-purchased electric piano for the church, which will also feature in the performance.”

Doors will open at 7pm.
