Blue Owl’s Open Photography Competition and Exhibition will showcase a huge variety of images in the adult and children’s categories. There are many stunning images submitted by the Grantham Camera Club and professional and amateur photographers alike.

Judging will take place on Wednesday, February 22, by Adrian Fretwell, freelance photographer, and previous winner and Jean Firth, president of Grantham Tennis Club. The winners will be announced on the opening night with first prize being a year’s membership at the tennis club.

With Blue Owl based at Grantham Tennis Club, there is an impressive artistic streak running through the club and this is seen as an ideal opportunity to showcase the work of GTC members.

The artists exhibiting in the GTC Exhibition are April Brown, Anna Butcher, William Goodacre, Ann Maloney, Helen Meuwissen, Ann Roughan, and Sue Rowland. Their artwork encompasses a variety of mediums including stitched, watercolour, oil, linocut and glass techniques.

Most of the work is available to buy, so pop on down and have a look around. Exhibitions continue until June 2017. The gallery is open seven days a week. There is free parking and a cafe.

Blue Owl continues to grow and are always looking to support artists based in the East Midlands.
