Acclaimed folk singer Ruth Notman to play Eastwell Village Hall on Saturday
Eastwell Village Hall is the venue for a couple of exciting gigs in the period leading up to Christmas.
First up is Ruth Notman who will be performing next Saturday (November 9).
Ruth is a contemporary folk singer/songwriter with an incredible voice, adept and assured beyond her years. She has been maturing and honing her style and skill for more than a decade in front of audiences all over the UK.
Her debut album 'Threads' had a huge impact. It went on to receive plaudits in The Independent, The Guardian, and Mojo, while Bob Harris invited her on to his Radio 2 show to play live.
Ruth will be joined on-stage by band members from Govannen, one of the best Celtic music bands in the UK, who play with passion, artistry and an easy going good humour, for a night to remember.
The Chris King Robinson Band will guest on Saturday, December 7.
Chris is predicted by many to become the standard bearer for blues music for years to come. His fresh, modern take led to him playing the highly exclusive Lead Belly Festival in 2016, held at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall in New York City to a sell-out crowd.
Chris and the band played a memorable gig at Eastwell last December and they are back by popular demand.
Bookings for next year are well in hand and will be announced soon.
