Corby Choristers raised £853 for charity when they held a Spring Concert called Come to the Movies.

The concert, described as a musical journey from the 1920s to the present day, was held in St John’s Church, Corby Glen, on Saturday, May 11, and raised money for Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance. Playing alongside the choir were pianist Val Wade and guitarists John Smith and Peter Nelmes.

Conductor Nancy Simpson said: “It was an excellent concert. The church was full and I was very, very pleased.”
