LIVE country music is on the cards at the Masonic Hall in Chambers Street tomorrow night (Saturday).

Best of Friends Country Music Club will present a performance by top UK radio, TV and recording artists Kalibre.

The two-piece outfit comprises Bobby Reed on vocals and acoustic guitar, and Bob Dixon on pedal steel guitar and dobro.

The duo’s material ranges from Hank Snow, Hank Williams and Marty Robbins through to Alan Jackson and Alison Krauss.

Bobby Reed has a unique vocal style with a voice particularly suited to country music. Bob Dixon is a veteran of the UK country scene, having played steel in many top acts including the Kelvin Henderson Band, Medicine Bow and Shag Connors and the Carrot Crunchers.

Tickets priced at £11.50 include supper and are available from Hobsons Shoes in the George Centre. Doors open at 6pm, supper is at 6.45pm and the show commences at 7.30pm.
