FOLK legends Patrick Street are all set to perform a concert at Grantham’s Guildhall Arts Centre tonight (Friday).

The band originally formed for a one-off tour, but two decades and eight albums later have achieved legendary status as one of the all time great folk bands.

With a repertoire steeped in traditional music, Patrick Street’s tightly executed arrangements and unparalleled musicianship know few equals in their genre.

With Kevin Burke on fiddle, Andy Irvine on vocals, bouzouki and mandolin, Arty McGlynn on guitar and John Carty on fiddle, banjo, flute and tenor guitar, they are four of the Irish music world’s most respected players.

Tickets at £15 (£14) are available from the Guildhall Arts Centre box office.

The concert starts at 7.30pm.
