Grantham musicians to perform in Great Hall in aid of churches

Young Musicians return to give a Chamber Music Concert in the Great Hall, Harlaxton Manor, on Friday, October 24, at 7.30pm.

Oliver Pashley, clarinet, and Christopher Atkinson, piano (both former Kings’ School pupils) will be joined by Mark Gibbs on viola. All three musicians are now forming musical careers in London.

In this fundraising concert for the churches of St. Vincent’s Caythorpe and St. Nicholas’ Carlton Scroop, they will be presenting an evening of music with a variety of repertoire written for clarinet, viola and piano - Brahms’ Sonata for Viola and Piano in F minor, op.120 No.1, Bach’s Two Preludes and Fugues, and Piazzolla’s Milonga del Angel (arr. Atkinson), Brahms’ Sonata for Clarinet and Piano in E-flat major, op.120 No.2, and Mozart’s Trio in E-flat major ‘Kegelstatt’ K.498.
