Authentic 1950s-style rockabilly is the name of the game at the Railway Club, off Huntingtower Road, on Saturday night.
Rock-inn Rock ’n’ Roll Club is back with southern-based rockabilly outfit Johnny Flame and The Dragons taking to the stage for the Grantham club’s “reunion” gig.
The four-piece combo is fronted by former Slim Slip and The Sliders singer Greg Escrader and performs a mix of original 1950s material and some self-penned songs.
Picking out some tasty licks on his Telecaster lead guitar will be James Carey, with Edley Gear beating the skins and guest musician Neil Roope slapping the doghouse bass.
The band recently went down a storm at Hemsby Rock ’n’ Roll Weekender, when they headlined the main stage on Friday night.
Keeping the jivers and boppers on the dancefloor, either side of the band’s two sets, will be DJs Swing Bop Boogie.
Doors open at 7.30pm and admission is £8.
