Veteran pop band Madness will headline the Newark Festival on Saturday, June 15.

They will appear as part of their Oui Oui, Si Si, Ja Ja, Da Da Tour in front of a potential 8,000 people. They will perform classic hits including Baggy Trousers, House of Fun and It Must Be Love as well as songs from their lastest album such as Never Knew Your Name.

On the day before there will be free performances by The Red Hot Chilli Pipers and the Ethnic German Bavarian Stompers in front of the castle. There will also be beer and wine stalls.

For Madness tickets go to www.newarkfestival.co.uk Also a batch of 2,000 tickets has been reserved for local people to buy in person from the Town Hall until the end of March. Box office opening hours at the Town Hall have been extended to include every Saturday during March from 10.30am to 2pm. There are a limited number of family tickets available admitting two adults and two children (aged 16 and under) at a cost of £100 from the Town Hall.
