A VALENTINE’S dance at Grantham College Refectory will raise money for Grantham Hospice when it takes place on Saturday, February 12.
The dance will feature music by some great rock and roll acts including Grantham’s very own Trevor Leeson, of Ex-Merseybeats fame.
Also performing will be Glen Darren and the Krew Kats, who were voted the best rock and roll band in the East Midlands, and Hughie Burns, who sings motown, soul and reggae as well as rock and roll and swing.
The evening, which is being arranged by Denis Manton, Noel Wallis and Malcolm Broughton, will feature a raffle with a top prize of a weekend in a London hotel.
All of the proceeds from this will go directly to the Brick-in-the-Wall fund, which plans to raise £40,000 for the refurbishment and extension of the Grantham Hospice in Barrowby Road, Grantham.
The Valentine’s Day dance will start at 7.15pm and tickets cost £10.
To get your ticket you can call Artifacts on 01476 591693, Denis Manton on 01476 576404, Noel Wallis on 01476 572223 or Malcolm Broughton on 01476 579136. Or simply turn up and get them on the door.
