Rockers LA Guns cocked and loaded for town gig

US glam metal band LA Guns shoot into Grantham tonight (Friday) for a gig at The Playhouse as part of a European tour.

The band were part of the glam metal explosion of the late ’80s when groups such as Guns N’ Roses, Poison and Motley Crue ruled the rock world.

They made their mark with early albums LA Guns and Cocked and Loaded selling in their millions and hit the singles charts with Sex Action, The Ballad of Jane and Rip and Tear which all feature in their live set.

Front man from those heady days Phil Lewis, who hales from London, is joined by Stacey Blades on guitar, Scotty Griffin on bass and Steve Riley on drums.

They have toured almost constantly since then playing venues all over the world.

The band will be supported by Prophets Of Addiction and Damn Dice.

Doors open at 7pm and tickets costing £12.50 are available from behind the bar at The Playhouse or
