This year’s adjudicator was Joan Foster, a former teacher and lecturer at the Birmingham Conservatoire for 13 years and now an examiner and trainer for ABRSM.

Elizabeth Bowskill, of the music festival committee, said: “On behalf of the committee, I would like to thank everyone who has supported the festival this year. It has been a great success and we were pleased to welcome many newcomers as well as familiar performers. Our adjudicator greatly enjoyed the experience of hearing the broad wealth of talent amongst the performers of all ages.”

The Trophy Presentation and Trophy Winners Concert takes place at ChristChurch, Finkin Street, tomorrow (Saturday, March 14) starting at 7pm. There is a single entry fee of £3 for all (children free).

The evening is not restricted to trophy winners so it is hoped some of the other competitors will join in the concert.

The presentations will be made by Major (retired) Dennis Hannant MBE.

A full list of winners and trophies awarded will be on the Grantham Music Festival website www.granthammusicfestival.co.uk
