To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Royal College of Organists (RCO), Dr Tim Williams, who has been St Wulfram’s organist and master of the music since 2008, is taking part in an international recital challenge.

Organists from around the world are involved in the year-long recital series, and Dr Williams will play his chosen piece, which includes music by Bach, Mendelssohn, Widor, Franck and Leighton, tomorrow (Saturday) from 11.30am at St Wulfram’s.

RCO president Catherine Ennis said: “Through the 150 for 150 Recital Challenge we hope to share our celebrations with everyone who has an interest in organ and choral music.”

Admission to Dr Williams’ 45 minute recital is free, with a retiring collection for St Wulfram’s church choir trip to York Minister, as well as the chance to donate to the RCO.
