Star of British country music scene to perfrom in Grantham

One of the most respected singers on the British country music circuit will be performing in Grantham next month.

Chris Raddings will play for the Best of Friends CMC at the Masonic Hall in Chambers Street on Saturday, September 13.

Chris was born in Leeds and now lives in Harrogate. He was inspired to play guitar after hearing the Shadows and caught the country music bug whern he heard the Johnny Cash album Itchy Feet in the mid-1970s.

Chris took his first steps in country music in the early 1990s and released his first album, Watching You Go, in 1997.

In recent years Chris has been nominated Best Male Vocalist twice for the British Country Music Awards. He is currently recording a follow-up to Watching You Go called Coming out of the Shadows. All the songs on the album are self-penned.

Tickets cost £7.50 with an optional supper costing £8 extra. Doors open at 5.30pm with supper served from 6.15pm. The show starts at 7.30pm.
