Get your tickets now for next weekend's play at Grantham Guildhall

It is time to start thinking about securing your favourite seats for St Peter's Hill Players next production 'See How They Run', which is being staged at the Guildhall Arts Centre from Thursday, October 25 to Saturday, October 27.

It is 1943, in a country vicarage. Miss Skillon, the local busy body’, arrives to complain to the vicar, Lionel Toop, about his ex-actress wife Penelope’s behaviour in the village. Apparently she “yoohoo-ed” a soldier!

Lionel later leaves for a concert engagement.

An old co-star of Penelope’s, Clive, arrives to take her to a show. To relive old memories, they re-enact a scene from a play they performed together. Miss Skillon returns and, thinking it is real, gets involved in the re-enactment.

Now throw in a bishop, another priest arriving early, and an escaped German POW, and...!

Penned in 1943, the play is an English comedy in three acts by Philip King. Its title is a line from the nursery rhyme Three Blind Mice. It is considered a farce for its tense comic situations and headlong humour, heavily playing on mistaken identity, doors, and vicars.

Tickets are priced at £8.50/£7.50 concessions from the Guildhall box office, call 01476 406158 or visit www.guildhallartscentre.com
