The latest pantomime season may only just be winding down — oh yes it is — but thoughts are already turning to the next festive offering.

Following a successful run of Dick Whittington And His Cat, this year’s offering at Newark’s Palace Theatre will be Cinderella.

It will run from December 6-31 and tickets are already on sale.

Cinderella is also the chosen pantomime at the New Theatre Royal, Lincoln, and will be staged from December 9 to January 8.

Snow White is set to visit Nottingham’s Theatre Royal with her gang of dwarfs from December 3 to January 8.

Headlining the pantomime will be the much-loved and hugely talented comedian Joe Pasquale as Muddles and Steps singer, television personality and West End star Faye Tozer as the Wicked Queen.

Joe returns to the Theatre Royal by popular demand, having starred in Peter Pan as Smee in 2018-19, and in Sleeping Beauty as Muddles in 2011-12.

Outside of the Steps-phere, Faye has also enjoyed an extensive theatre career, starring to great acclaim in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s one-woman musical Tell Me On A Sunday and Singin’ In The Rain at London’s Sadler’s Wells Theatre.

Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs will be brought to life with an abundance of comedy, sensational song and dance numbers, fabulous costumes and stunning scenery in a glittering festive treat for all ages.

Aladdin will be wowing audiences with his magic lamp at Nottingham Playhouse this December.

This seasonal spectacular will be written and directed by the theatre’s artistic director, Adam Penford, and will once again star everyone’s favourite dame, and Playhouse regular, John Elkington.

Adam said: “Aladdin is one of my favourite panto titles. It’s a beautiful story, with the perfect balance of adventure, magic and romance.

“I remember as a child being captivated by the magic carpet, horrified when Aladdin was trapped in the cave, and wondering what I’d choose if I had three wishes.

“Perhaps one would be wishing for a fantastic actor to play the dame. And it’s been granted! In the form of the irreplaceable John Elkington, now in his 22nd Playhouse panto.

“I’m also delighted we are again producing a digital version of the show, for audiences to enjoy at home if they so wish.”

Aladdin will be showing at the Playhouse from November 25 to January 14.
