Elizabeth Bowskill has lived in Grantham with her husband Neal, since 1999.

The couple have two teenage sons, one of whom is soon to go to university.

Mrs Bowskill has been the secretary of Wyndham Park Forum since its creation in 2005.

Mrs Bowskill said: “I happened to be working at South Kesteven District Council in 2005 and I was asked if I would go along and take the minutes for the first meeting to form the Wyndham Park Forum.

“Although the forum was initially set up by SKDC it was always the plan that it would become an independent body as it now is.”

Among the forum’s achievments, some of the most notable have been its involvement in the paddling pool project which has just been opened.

The pool includes a colourful dedicated traditional paddling area with a splash pad design and six play features and fountains.

The forum has also helped with the toddler playground, which opened in 2006 and the sensory garden which received funding from the Community Spaces programme.

The sensory garden was officially opened in 2010 when the striking sculpture of ‘Issac’s Apple’ was revealed to the town.

Wyndham Park Forum is a voluntary organisation.

Mrs Bowskill is also involved with the Grantham Music Festival.
