Comedy prize-winner Zoe Lyons headlines this week’s Funhouse Comedy Club at the Atrium, Grantham on Thursday (January 31).

Lyons’ comedy life started back in 2003 with her first five minute spot, in an open mike act. The following year she won the national Funny Women Competition and went on to become a finalist in ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ 2008. That same year she was the winner of ‘Dave TV, Funniest Joke of the Fringe’ at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival.

She takes a sideways view of life, picking out the many absurdities and turning them into hilarious routines which she delivers with tremendous energy. A radio artist and familiar face on TV she regularly features as a panellist on Mock the Week as well as appearing on Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow and The Wright Stuff.

Supporting is Scottish comedian John Scott, a highly versatile comedian. Cheeky, commanding and always oozing charm his hilarious tales of class-based woe never miss the mark and are delivered with killer punch lines.

Completing the line-up is the unperturbed Jim Campbell with superb punch lines and easy manner. Compere for the night is the cheerful and energetic Spiky Mike.
