Grantham group to hold auditions for Agatha Christie whodunit

Have your say

Amateur dramatics group St Peter’s Hill Players is holding auditions to cast its forthcoming production of “The Unexpected Guest”, a whodunit by Agatha Christie.

The play will be performed at the Guildhall Arts Centre, Grantham, on November 13.

Christie’s story concerns the events of a foggy night when Michael Starkwedder enters the home of the Warwicks through a window in the study. He finds the dead body of Richard Warwick, and also Warwick’s wife, Laura, holding the gun that supposedly killed him. Despite the murderer appearing obvious, and overwhelming evidence pointing towards it, Starkwedder does not believe she killed him...

If anybody is interested in attending the auditions, the Players will be holding a reading and auditions on July 28 of the script to introduce and refresh the play to everyone, followed by auditions on July 30, and August 4 and 6.

If anybody would like to be involved in the production in any way, they should go along to the creche room at the The Meres Leisure Centre, Grantham, at 7.30pm on any of the above dates.
