Newton Players tackle Godber comedy

Have your say

Newton’s Players are back on stage with their new production, Up and Under.

The story, by playwright John Godber, centres on the amateur rugby team from the Wheatsheaf Arms, who can only ever muster four players, play in sandals and hold the shameful record of having lost every game they have played. Then they find themselves the subject of an outrageous bet and madcap mayhem ensues.

The play will be performed at Colsterworth Village Hall on Friday and Saturday, November 23 and 24, kicking off at 7.30pm. Bar is open from 6.45pm. Tickets from Colsterworth Post Office, call 01476 861936, or book on-line at
