A performance by the Royal Ballet will be screened at the Reel Cinema in Grantham tonight.

Giselle, one of the most romantic of all classical ballets, is being beamed to cinema audiences around the world from the Covent Garden, London stage.

The Grantham screening is tonight at 7.15pm.

The peformance features ballet stars Carlos Acosta and Natalia Osipova.

Giselle is a heartbreaking tale of betrayal and forgiveness, of supernatural spirits and a love that transcends death.

The title role danced by Osipova is a great technical and dramatic challenge and provides a showcase for the talented female prinicpal dancer.

Acosta dances the role of count Albrecht.

His worldwide fans know him for his inspiring ability to jump with grace, speed and height.

With his athleticism and handsome looks, Acosta dazzles in this role.

Giselle live in cinemas comes hot on the heels of the Royal Ballet’s record-breaking audience figures for the Nutcracker live in cinemas on December 12, which was number one in the UK box office that night.
