COMIC caper ‘Going Postal’ will be the next production by the Grantham Dramatic Society.

The Terry Pratchett play, which mixes in adventure, thrills and fantasy, was chosen by Journal readers who suggested plays via the society’s website.

Vice chairman Helen Pack said: “We’re really excited by the response to our survey.

“This was definitely a popular choice, and we can’t wait to get started on the show.

“There are plenty of parts for a variety of ages, and we have some exciting ideas for the production.”

Entrants were entered into a prize draw and one lucky entrant won a £25 voucher.

Grantham Dramatic Society is inviting anyone with an interest in theatre to go along to an open reading session on Thursday at 7.30pm.

Readings will take place at the rehearsal room at The Old Malthouse, in Springfield Road, Grantham. Maps and details can be found on the society’s website at

Helen said: “Whether you want to act or to help out backstage, we’d love you to come along to our reading.

“From graphic design, to costume and set-building, there’s more to putting on a show than the acting.”
