Belton House will be host to an open air cinema next weekend when two popular films, Casablanca and Mamma Mia, will be shown.
The classic Casablanca, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, will be shown on Friday, September 12, and Mamma Mia!, starring Meryl Streep, the following evening.
These two, much-loved classics are being shown on what is the final weekend of the Summer Nights Film Festival, Belton House being one of six stately homes to be hosting the cinema event organised by QUAD, Derby’s Centre for Art and Film.
Belton’s Commercial Operations Manager Siobhán Scullion said: “With over 500 tickets sold so far for the weekend, we’re looking forward to two great nights. We’re encouraging ticket holders to come dressed to impress because Smooth Radio will be on site and judging the best dressed couple each night. We’ll be presenting a National Trust hamper worth over £150 to the winners.
“Ticket holders are welcome to bring picnics but we’ll also have a bar and hot food available on site.”
Doors open at 6.30pm and there will be a bar and barbecue. Screenings start at 8pm.
Tickets are priced at £12 each or £10.50 for groups of four or more. For ticket information go to www.summernightsfilm.co.uk or call 01476 566116.
