WHAT’S ON: Newark Retrofestival has everything from classic cars and rock ’n’ roll with Si Cranstoun, to northern soul star Tommy Hunt!

Retrofestival 2017 takes place at Newark Showground from June 9 till 11.

The three-day festival promises wings, wheels, speed, steam, music, dance, bands and, of course, all things vintage including fashion.

There will be three stages at the venue to cater for a variety of retro music tastes.

The Spitfire Pavilion promises to keep the swing dancers entertained, with the exciting crossover band Electric Swing Circus just one of the highlights of the weekend.

Top acts on the Rock and Roll stage include the charismatic Si Cranstoun and pulsating R&B exponents The Revolutionaires.

The so-called Alternative Stage caters for Sixties mod, soul, ska and R&B lovers, with northern soul legend Tommy Hunt a stand-out name.

Weekend tickets are £45, day ticket £20, evening £9.
