Young stars of the stage are needed for a new production of Fiddler on the Roof to be staged next year at Grantham Guildhall.

Grantham Operatic Society is looking for a number of youngsters, from secondary school age upwards, to take to the stage as members of the family groups in the story.

New members are being welcomed by the society and it is calling on youngsters especially to go along to its rehearsals which start on Thursday, September 11, at 7.30pm in the Senior Citizens’ Club in St Catherine’s Road.

Rehearsals will then continue every Thursday, from September 19, at Grantham Bowls Club (behind Sainsbury’s).

The society also has an opening for a piano/keyboard player to work with the musical director, Jenny Walker.

The operatic society will stage Fiddler on the Roof from Thursday, April 9, to Saturday, April 11, next year, with a matinee also on the Saturday.
